This full-time Program Assistant position in an Approved Private School in Baltimore offers the chance to work alongside experienced educators and help students with intellectual, developmental, and behavioral needs achieve their educational, behavioral, and personal goals.

You'll be part of a supportive team where your work directly contributes to student growth, independence, confidence, and success.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one or group support to students in the classroom.
• Assist teachers with implementing IEPs, Behavior Intervention Plans, medical protocols, and sensory plans.
• Support students with daily living needs, including feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Participate in classroom, vocational, on-campus, and off-campus activities.
• Apply appropriate behavior-management and safety techniques, including physical intervention when required and properly trained.
• Monitor student progress and accurately document behavioral data and other required information.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment.
• Communicate professionally with teachers, families, coworkers, and other members of the support team.
• Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional-development opportunities.

Requirements

• High School diploma.
• An interest in working with children.
• Ability to assist with personal-care responsibilities.
