Controls Engineer / Automation Engineer
Travel Required to Locations: Warren, MI & Toledo, OH
Key Requirements:
- Hands-on experience with ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems) is required.
- Strong experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting , specifically with:
- Allen-Bradley
- Siemens
- Experience in installation, commissioning, startup, and debugging of automation systems.
- Ability and willingness to travel between Warren, MI and Toledo, OH as project needs require.
- Prior experience supporting automotive manufacturing environments is preferred.
- General Motors (GM) project or plant experience is a strong plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Install and commission automated material handling and ASRS systems.
- Perform system startup, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging activities.
- Support PLC controls integration using Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
- Work closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Travel to customer sites in Michigan and Ohio for implementation and support activities.
