Responsibilities include: Under supervision of higher-level mechanic, have the ability to learn proper troubleshooting and repairing of equipment associated in production in a timely manner as well as the maintenance of all building support equipment, including but not limited to air, water, steam, hydraulic, refrigeration, and electric systems.Job Responsibilities:Properly troubleshoot and repair all equipment associated with in the production facility, in a timely manner with supervisionPerform preventative maintenance on all production, and warehouse equipment;Properly perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and plumbing duties as required;Rebuild/replace equipment as needed, including but not limited to pumps, gear boxes, bearings, bushings, chains, bundler headers, conveyors, etc.Complete assigned work orders by their required due dates;Complete assigned housekeeping duties as required;Communicate to Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager of any condition that prevents the manufacture of product to established standards;Work in a safe manner, in compliance with Company, State and Federal GMP's, SOP's and company Policy and Procedures;Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies, as needed;Possess own basic hand tools necessary to perform the requirements of the position;Work effectively as part of a team and display a positive attitude;Other duties assignedEducation and Experience:Must take in house mechanical aptitude test.Basic math and reading skills;Ability to work independently or in a group/team atmosphere;Good organizational and time management skills.Other Information/Physical Requirements (if needed):Communication:Required to talk and hearVisual: Ability to read small print (manuals)Dexterity:Ability to use hand and fingers to perform tasksAbility to perform tasks while lying on back /sideAbility to perform tasks on knees and in awkward positionsAbility to perform tasks in limited access areas as well as cramped, awkward and confined spaces.Standing: Long periods of time.
