MRI Technologist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. This position involves performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams on patients and providing high-quality imaging studies for diagnostic purposes.

Job Responsibilities

Conduct MRI scans for musculoskeletal, neurological, and body imaging for both inpatients and outpatients.
Administer intravenous (IV) starts and perform creatinine draws as required.
Utilize Meditech and Synapse systems for electronic medical records (EMR) and picture archiving and communication (PACS).
Participate in call rotations and respond to on-call requests in a timely manner.
Cooperate with radiologists and team members to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

Qualifications

Minimum of 7 years of experience in MRI technology.
Expertise in using Philips or Siemens MRI equipment is highly preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a focus on MRI (MR).
License as a Medical Radiologic Technologist from the Texas Medical Board (TMB) is required.

Working Conditions

Ability to work in an acute care setting, involving various imaging modalities.
The department operates with 1-2 scanners per location, primarily focusing on MRI.
Expect to float between locations within the region as necessary.
Days of service typically begin at 7:30 AM, Monday to Friday, with required call coverage.

Employee Requirements

Candidates should not have been directly employed by any facilities associated with this organization in the past year.
Scrubs are not provided; black scrubs are required.
Weekend and holiday on-call requirements are rotational.
