MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. This position involves performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) exams on patients and providing high-quality imaging studies for diagnostic purposes.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct MRI scans for musculoskeletal, neurological, and body imaging for both inpatients and outpatients.
• Administer intravenous (IV) starts and perform creatinine draws as required.
• Utilize Meditech and Synapse systems for electronic medical records (EMR) and picture archiving and communication (PACS).
• Participate in call rotations and respond to on-call requests in a timely manner.
• Cooperate with radiologists and team members to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in MRI technology.
• Expertise in using Philips or Siemens MRI equipment is highly preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with a focus on MRI (MR).
• License as a Medical Radiologic Technologist from the Texas Medical Board (TMB) is required.

Working Conditions

• Ability to work in an acute care setting, involving various imaging modalities.
• The department operates with 1-2 scanners per location, primarily focusing on MRI.
• Expect to float between locations within the region as necessary.
• Days of service typically begin at 7:30 AM, Monday to Friday, with required call coverage.

Employee Requirements

• Candidates should not have been directly employed by any facilities associated with this organization in the past year.
• Scrubs are not provided; black scrubs are required.
• Weekend and holiday on-call requirements are rotational.
