What this job involvesAs a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and deliver complex laboratory, vivarium, facilities and utilities construction projects from inception through closeout. You'll leverage your deep knowledge of laboratory environments to provide strategic guidance to clients, manage project execution across all phases, and contribute to innovative solutions that meet scientific and operational needs. This role requires you to balance technical project management expertise with strong relationship-building skills, creating collaborative environments that drive results while managing budgets, schedules, procurement, quality, and risk for real estate projects in the life sciences sector.Your day-to-day tasks will include:Providing management and daily leadership for JLL project teams while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and consultants at the project levelManaging all facets of project management including budget, schedule, procurement, quality, and risk for individual real estate projects across planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout phasesCreating and executing project execution plans, implementing communication strategies, and facilitating project meetings to keep all stakeholders informed and alignedIdentifying and managing project delivery resources through qualification processes, conducting request for proposals, completing bid analysis, and recommending resources to clientsApplying life science project knowledge to assist clients in understanding critical decision points and identifying issues early in the project cycle to prevent costly changes during constructionImplementing change management routines to assess change requests, determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality and risk, and secure client approvalsManaging project documentation governance, ensuring data integrity, monitoring financial reporting, reviewing consultant invoices, and supporting project accounting forecasts and summariesPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Ability to work in and around laboratory and vivarium environments throughout all phases of constructionCapability to attend and conduct on-site project meetings and inspectionsWork in a fast-paced, high-volume office and project site environment with tight deadlinesExtended periods working on computers utilizing project management technology toolsFlexibility to travel to project sites and client locations as neededRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction ManagementMinimum 5 years of relevant project management experienceThorough understanding of Project Management, Building Design & Construction, Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling, Building Cost Modeling, and Risk AnalysisHighly articulate with clear and analytical approach to problem solving, strong decision-making abilities, and excellent communication and presentation skillsProficiency in Information Technology including Internet, Microsoft Windows OS, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Microsoft ProjectDemonstrated ability to manage client and vendor relationships with strong conflict resolution and account maintenance capabilitiesProven track record of managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables in complex construction environmentsPreferred Qualifications:Experience with project documentation governance systems and quality assurance proceduresStrong relationship-building skills across all organizational levels and with external clientsKnowledge of emerging technologies and data-driven approaches in real estate and construction managementExperience developing and mentoring diverse project teams through inclusive communication methodsPrevious operational experience working in laboratory spaces with ability to leverage that knowledge during the design processLaboratory construction projects, including biology, chemistry, vivarium, cGMP, and/or clinical diagnostic laboratoriesFamiliarity with life science industry standards, regulations, and compliance requirementsThis position does not provide visa sponsorship.
