Calm Reflections Mental Health Counseling Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time position allows for remote work, providing comprehensive support to children and families throughout Colorado Springs and beyond. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering in-community therapeutic services, helping children with developmental disabilities and their caregivers navigate emotional and behavioral challenges.

This role is primarily remote, allowing our therapists to connect with clients in their own environments while maintaining flexibility. Therapists are encouraged to cultivate relationships with primary caregivers and families to provide tailored support tailored to individual needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Facilitate individual or group therapy sessions, either remotely or in our outpatient center, tailored to the unique needs of children and their families.
\n
• Provide evidence-based interventions for anger management, coping strategies, and social skills development, focusing on reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Enhance decision-making skills in youth and caregivers to address and manage behavioral challenges effectively within the home environment.
\n
• Collaborate with the Child and Family Treatment Team, which may include educators, social workers, and other mental health professionals, to create a cohesive support system for clients.
\n
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
\n
• Participate in monthly team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and contribute recommendations for service improvements.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position caters to a diverse array of children aged 3-20 who are experiencing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Therapists will implement strategies tailored to address the complexities of each child's situation, fostering a supportive environment that respects cultural backgrounds and family dynamics. Engaging with children and families from varied socioeconomic and cultural contexts is foundational to our approach.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or a related mental health field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is mandatory.
\n
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), with weekend work considered a plus.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience providing positive behavior support and interventions.
\n
• Previous work experience with children aged 3-20, especially those with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), is highly desirable.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to client locations.
\n
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required prior to hiring.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
