Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 12-hour variable PM/night shifts with PM shifts starting at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• On-call requirement of 12 hours per 6-week period with a 30-minute response time
• Minimum call back of 2 hours when called back in
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Primary location in the Emergency Department
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Minimum 5 years of experience required with at least 1 year of travel experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Work in an 18-bed Trauma Level II unit that is stroke certified, handling cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases
• Fast-paced environment with 3-4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and utilizing Pyxis medication dispenser
• X-ray staff and lab services available on-site in the ED
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage change, work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Scrub colors: any color

This facility is a Trauma Level II hospital featuring an 18-bed emergency department equipped with modern technology including Epic computer charting and Pyxis medication dispensing systems. The emergency department is stroke certified and provides comprehensive care across multiple specialties including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory services. The facility maintains robust on-site support services including in-house laboratory, respiratory therapy, and radiology staff dedicated to the emergency department.
