Job Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. Four years of full-time employment with the Richland Hills Fire Department or eight or more years of full-time fire service experience. Advanced or higher firefighter Certification from the Texas Commission of Fire Protection. Instructor II Certification. Fire Officer II Certification. Fire Inspector I or higher Certification. Hazardous Materials Technician Certification. National Registry or Texas Department of State Health Services Certification as an EMT-Paramedic. Valid Class B CDL or Class B Exempt Driver's License. Compensation The City of Richland Hills offers a competitive salary depending on qualifications and experience. The salary range for this position is $93,100 to $106,834. The City participates in the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) at a 7% employee deposit rate with a City matching ratio of 2:1. The City pays 100% of the employee’s medical, dental and term life insurance, and contributes 50% to dependent medical coverage. Employees receive paid vacation and sick leave, and eleven (11) paid holidays which accrue at the beginning of the year to be used at any time.
