Kelvion – Together, We Shape the Future The Role Perform activities concerned with maintenance of equipment and machinery in industrial plant by performing the following duties. What you will be responsible for: Ability to repair and maintain overhead bridge cranes, jib cranes and other types of machinery, requiring diagnosing and making solid recommendations to repair all equipment as needed. Must have knowledge in repairing motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems. Observe mechanical devices in operation and listen to the sounds to locate cause of trouble. Perform monthly inspections on all production equipment and replacement parts; confer with department managers to coordinate inspections. Examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections; repair or replace defective parts; install special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricate and clean parts. Start devices to test their performance. Must have a valid driver’s license to be able to drive to different locations within the Port. Operate overhead and jib cranes, industrial forklifts and man lifts. Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment. Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine. Ability to dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts. Ability to install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment. Must be able to install, repair, and troubleshoot electrical systems. Layout, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment. Ability to repair and maintain physical structure of establishment. Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers. Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. Fabricate and repair counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structures. Regular attendance, ability to arrive at work punctually, ability to work on‑site, ability to work overtime. Ability to work cooperatively with others and deal respectfully with the public, customers, vendors, other employees, managers, and executive management. Ability to perform multiple tasks concurrently, work in a fast‑paced environment, and interchange with others in the department. Education and Experience (required levels) High School Diploma or General Education degree (GED) preferred. Master electrical certification preferred with 5 years of experience.
