Wastewater Lab Technician

Lab Technician**Shift/Hours: **Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm**Pay Rate: **$25-30+/hr, DOE**Location: **Hitchcock, TX**Experience: **3-5 years of experiencePosition Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Laboratory Technician to join our client's team in Hitchcock, TX. The ideal candidate will assist in analyzing and reporting various samples from different job sites in the oil and gas as well as wastewater spaces. This role plays a critical part in accurately applying a treatment program to the different samples and accurately identifying possible hazards.Key Responsibilities:Analyze wastewater, sludge, effluent, and oil samples using standard laboratory methodsPerform tests including chemical dosing, neutralization, oil extraction, TSS, pH, and other industry methodsCalibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentationMaintain accurate laboratory sample logging and recordsAssist with reporting results to the laboratory managerEnsure laboratory cleanliness, safety, and proper disposal of chemical wasteSupport operational staff with process troubleshooting and special studiesParticipate in training sessions and professional development opportunities as requiredSkills and Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredAssociate’s degree in a relevant field (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related science) preferredMust possess basic computer, mathematics, and science skillsProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Intermediate to advanced knowledge of laboratory safety and quality control practicesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to follow instructions accurately and work under minimal supervisionExperience in a water or wastewater laboratory setting preferredFamiliarity with EPA and ASTM Standard Methods preferredJoin Us.PrideStaff Company OverviewPrideStaff wants you to Succeed!
