Supply Chain Director

The Supply Chain Director will lead the US supply chain agenda, ensuring that planning, sourcing, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and customer service are fully aligned with business growth, margin improvement, service reliability, and operational resilience.

The role is expected to operate as a senior business partner for the US leadership team, translating commercial priorities into a robust, cost-effective, and customer-focused supply chain model. The current business context is characterized by a still relatively low level of organizational and supply chain maturity, combined with significant potential for expansion. The successful candidate will therefore need to manage strategic trade-offs across service, cost, cash, risk, and capability building, while driving cross-functional alignment with Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality, and external partners. A strong sense of cooperation will be essential to progressively integrate the Supply Chain function more deeply within the broader AEI organization and the newly created Italy & EMEAA cluster. Success will require resilience, strong priority-setting skills, and the discipline to maintain coherence with the priorities that have been defined.

What you will deliver (Key Deliverables & Responsibilities):

• Define and execute the US supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, customer expectations, profitability targets, and long-term growth plans.
• Lead integrated planning processes, including demand planning, supply planning, S&OP / IBP, inventory policies, and capacity planning.
• Oversee logistics, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and 3PL performance to improve service levels, cost efficiency, and delivery reliability.
• Partner with Procurement and Manufacturing to strengthen supplier performance, supply continuity, network resilience, and total cost optimization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across service, cost, inventory, productivity, process discipline, and operational excellence.
• Use data, analytics, digital tools, and performance dashboards to improve visibility, decision quality, forecast accuracy, and execution discipline.
• Build, develop, and engage a high-performing supply chain team with strong accountability, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

• Significant supply chain leadership experience, ideally in a complex manufacturing, consumer goods, food, pharma, industrial, or distribution environment in the US market.
• Track record of leading multi-site or multi-node supply chain operations with measurable impact on service, cost, inventory, productivity, and resilience.
• Experience managing cross-functional interfaces with Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and external logistics or supplier partners.
• Exposure to S&OP / IBP, network optimization, supplier performance, logistics transformation, digital supply chain tools, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field required; knowledge of six sigma or any other lean competences is preferrable
