Financial Controller

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated, hands-on Controlle r to join a growing organization. This role ideal for someone who enjoys working across all aspects of accounting and finance, from day-to-day execution to financial reporting and analysis. There are no direct reports at this time, making this a great opportunity for someone who thrives in an environment where they can take full ownership and build scalable processes

Responsibilities:

• Own the full-cycle accounting function, including month-end and year-end close
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgeting processes
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
• Oversee cash flow management and ensure proper financial controls are in place
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of the general ledger
• Partner with leadership to provide financial insights and reporting to support decision-making
• Assist with audit preparation, tax coordination, and compliance requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and implement more efficient systems as the company grows
• Handle ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• Prior experience in a hands-on Controller or senior accounting role, preferably within a growing or startup environment
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience building and maintaining financial models and forecasts
• Comfortable managing AP/AR, invoicing, and transactional accounting
• High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proactive, self-starter mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Excel (experience with ERP systems is a plus)
