Job Title: Phlebotomist III - Floater
Location: 2229 W. Ball Road, Anaheim, CA 92804
Position Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 3+ months contract with possible extension
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: Weekdays with rotating weekends
Shift: Flexible; coverage may be required for shifts starting at 5:00 AM, 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM, or 8:00 AM
Spanish: Preferred, but not required

Job Summary:

The Phlebotomist III - Floater represents the face of the company and provides high-quality patient service while performing blood collection and specimen processing. The position requires working across multiple Patient Service Centers (PSCs) and In-Office Phlebotomy (IOP) locations based on business needs.

The Phlebotomist III will:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary collections accurately and safely.
• Collect and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
• Perform patient identification and verify demographic information.
• Obtain required patient signatures and ensure specimens are properly labeled in the patient's presence.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Provide excellent customer service and create a professional, comfortable environment for patients.
• Work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
• Support multiple locations and shifts throughout the territory, sometimes with minimal notice.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all company policies, safety requirements, and dress code standards.
• Handle multiple priorities effectively in a high-volume environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent - Required
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience - Required
• Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections - Required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred and required in California
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Patient Service Center experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Keyboard/data-entry experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Reliable transportation required
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record, if applicable
• Must be flexible to work various locations, shifts, rotating weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime based on staffing needs
