Accounting Assistant

The company is a Contract Manufacturer, Distributor and Installer of commercial recreation equipment such as commercial playgrounds, commercial shades structures and safety surfacing. 50 years in business. This is a part-time to full-time position with flexible hours for Accounting Assistant starting at $30 per hour with opportunity for rapid advancement commensurate with performance (salary range $30-$37/hr.) For 20-40 hours per week with opportunity for increased pay, overtime, bonus incentives, and advancement. Your Tasks: Work collaboratively with our Accounting Firm, Payroll Managers and Senior Bookkeepers to actively maintain and grow our office bookkeeping and accounting operations by enhancing customer and vendor relations, understanding and solving customer and vendor requirements by offering product and service solutions, assisting in the management of accounts receivable and accounts payable; receiving and distributing communications; and helping to maintain office business functionality. The Accounting Assistant creates and manages business transactions as well as reports from customers, vendors, and other business data such as invoices, payments, logistics and contracts. Quickbooks experience a plus. This is a Perfect Opportunity if you have: Relevant college degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience with accounting or bookkeeping. Relevant office operations and accounting experience. Strong administration and data processing experience Telecommunications and email communication proficiency. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Reliability and Initiative. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities.
