Job Title Manufacturing & Tech Ops - Lead Engineer - Project Farma Location(s) Customer Site - CA Job Description This is a full‑time salaried position with Project Farma, a PerkinElmer company. The successful candidate will reside Los Angeles, CA and be willing to travel domestically to meet client project requests. Project Farma (PF) team members collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build trusted client relationships, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and contribute to business growth by identifying opportunities and applying data‑driven insights to support project planning, cost, schedule, and performance management. This role contributes to organizational success by supporting financial performance, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement, while also investing in people through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and professional development. Key Responsibilities Execute and support the site strategy as defined by the Manager to maintain the firm's leadership position in manufacturing & tech ops services. Identify client needs during project execution and communicate these to the Manager for strategic consideration. Build and maintain relationships with key project points of contact to ensure smooth delivery and client satisfaction. Participate in project extensions and proposal generation, providing technical and operational input. Attend market‑based industry events to build a local network and support business development initiatives. Provide deliverable and resource recommendations for site proposals to ensure feasibility. Actively identify and recommend scalable support plans for client needs and present them to the Manager. Encourage team members to share best practices and foster a culture of accountability, excellence, and retention awareness. Coach team members on identified knowledge gaps and direct them to development resources. Mentor internal team members on operational priorities, technical skills, and succession planning. Escalate technical delivery issues and provide resolution or mitigation solutions to the Manager. Ensure delivery of high‑quality GMP engineering services meeting client specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Support project execution from planning to closeout, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Lead, oversee, and execute client project initiatives, plans, or workstreams, ensuring timely and high‑quality delivery. Provide hands‑on support for clients and project team members, proactively identifying and escalating roadblocks. Create, update, and present work projections and progress reports. Develop technical documentation such as SOPs, requirements specifications, testing protocols, and summary reports. Maintain planning and performance tools, including burn‑rate tracking, PO performance, and resource utilization. Coordinate team member utilization with site and account leads and resolve utilization discrepancies. Maintain 100% individual billability and provide input into resource plans for future project needs. Continually develop technical expertise within the core services of Project Farma, including capital project management, facility builds, tech transfers, and quality validation. Education and Experience Required 5‑7 years of experience in consulting and/or engineering services. Bachelor’s degree in Life Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience in CQV engineering, cGMP facility start‑up, project management, and/or comparable military experience. Eligibility and Travel Requirements Authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis. The position may require significant domestic travel to support project and business needs. A valid driver’s license is required. The company does not sponsor work visas for this position. Compensation The annual compensation range for this full‑time position is $99,000 – $123,000. Final base pay will be determined by internal equity, location, and qualifications.
