EDI / ERA / REMIT ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST – WAYSTAR Specialist

Louisville, KY 40222 | Hybrid | Contract-to-Hire | Up to $23.00/Hour | ASAP Start

WAYSTAR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED

We are seeking an experienced EDI / ERA / Remit Enrollment Specialist with EXTENSIVE, HANDS-ON WAYSTAR EXPERIENCE. This is not a general medical billing or customer service position. The ideal candidate must have direct experience working inside Waystar and be comfortable independently handling enrollments, setting up and monitoring work groups, troubleshooting enrollment issues, and working rejected and denied claims.

Candidates WITHOUT significant hands-on Waystar experience will not be considered.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Candidates must be available to start ASAP and must be submitted at a pay rate of $23.00/hour or less.

EDI / ERA / REMIT ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST – WAYSTAR Specialist Schedule & Work Arrangement

• Monday & Tuesday: Onsite

• Wednesday–Friday: Remote

• Training: Must be available to work at least 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

• Location: Support Center, 805 Whittington Pkwy, Louisville, KY

• Pay Rate: Up to $23.00/hour

• Contract-to-hire

• ASAP availability required

EDI / ERA / REMIT ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST – WAYSTAR Specialist PRIMARY REQUIREMENT: WAYSTAR EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate MUST have strong, hands-on experience with Waystar, including:

• Setting up work groups in Waystar

• Managing and monitoring Waystar work groups

• Completing payer enrollments within Waystar

• Enrolling for electronic claims submission

• Enrolling for electronic remittances/ERAs

• Completing EDI and EFT enrollments

• Troubleshooting Waystar enrollment issues

• Investigating enrollment errors, rejections, and denials

• Working rejected and denied claims within Waystar

• Managing users, permissions, and work-group access

• Understanding the full enrollment workflow within Waystar

Candidates should be able to demonstrate exactly how they have used Waystar in their previous roles.

EDI / ERA / REMIT ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST – WAYSTAR Specialist KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Complete EDI, ERA, remit, and claims enrollments through Waystar.

• Set up, maintain, and monitor work groups within Waystar.

• Investigate and resolve enrollment denials, errors, rejected transactions, and payer correspondence.

• Work rejected and denied claims within Waystar.

• Enroll providers/accounts to submit electronic claims and receive electronic remittances.

• Complete EDI and EFT enrollments with payers.

• Generate and monitor EDI agreements and follow up to meet implementation deadlines.

• Maintain accurate enrollment and account documentation.

• Handle requests involving Waystar users, permissions, and work-group setup.

• Monitor enrollment activity and proactively identify issues that could delay implementation.

• Maintain knowledge of departmental workflows, systems, and clearinghouse processes.

• Communicate effectively with internal teams, customers, payers, and clearinghouse contacts.

EDI / ERA / REMIT ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST – WAYSTAR Specialist REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• EXTENSIVE HANDS-ON WAYSTAR EXPERIENCE – REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Direct experience with EDI enrollment processes.

• Experience with electronic claims and ERA/remittance enrollment.

• Experience setting up and managing Waystar work groups.

• Experience monitoring Waystar work groups.

• Experience troubleshooting Waystar enrollment issues.

• Experience working rejected and denied claims in Waystar.

• Experience completing EDI and EFT enrollments.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

• VLOOKUP experience required.

• Pivot Table experience required.

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

ADDITIONAL CLEARINGHOUSE EXPERIENCE

Experience with other clearinghouses such as Availity is helpful, but candidates must still demonstrate meaningful, hands-on Waystar experience.

• Waystar enrollment experience

• EDI/ERA/remit enrollment experience

GENERAL EDI EXPERIENCE ALONE IS NOT SUFFICIENT.

Candidates with only general medical billing, claims processing, or clearinghouse experience who do not have substantial hands-on Waystar experience should not be submitted.

Additional Requirements

• Must be available ASAP.

• Must be available to work at least 8:00 AM–5:00 PM during training.

• All candidates must be submitted at or below $23.00/hour.

• Must be able to work onsite Monday and Tuesday and remotely Wednesday through Friday.
