Pharmacist - Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: Not specified License: Virginia Licensure Certifications: PharmD, RPh Must-Have: Charting System Experience: Required Charting System Name: Meditech Community Client Experience: Required Description: Variable hours may include 9 to 5:30 for 8 hours, 9 to 7:30 for 10 hours, 7 to 3:30 for 8 hours, 7 to 5:30 for 10 hours, 8 to 4:30 for 8 hours, and 8 to 6:30 for 10 hours. Hours requested are flexible, less than 30 hours per week. Travel dates may be affected by weather conditions and personal circumstances. Roughly 10-14 days of travel are tentatively planned at the beginning of the month. Previous charge experience is preferred. Patient ratios on days are 7, on nights are 1, and on weekends are 4. Weekend shifts may be included in the schedule if willing to work evenings; otherwise, they may vary. Shaving is required for fit testing. Medical marijuana cards are not accepted. Fit testing exemptions require prior approval from a healthcare provider. High-alert medications and various clinical skills are necessary for the role. Interdisciplinary support available includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, and social services. Additional skills required include antibiotics, anticoagulation therapy, chemotherapy, compounding, and therapeutic medication monitoring. The patient age group includes adults and geriatrics.
