- Measures, cuts and welds ½-inch rod into various sizes for cage frames as needed for production purposes; occasionally fabricates steel pallets.
- Monitor raw material and finished cage inventories.
- Measure rod to proper length for designated cage style.
- Place on proper table for shaping and welding.
- Keep fabrication areas clean and organized at all times.
- Perform Laborer jobs in production and/or shipping and receiving, as required.
- Attend safety meetings/training as required.
- Must have knowledge of the following machinery and know the proper operation of each:
- Hydraulic Press
- Iron Worker
- Band Saw
- Roll Bender
- Mig Welder
- Hand Grinder
- Other duties, as assigned by Plant Manager, Shift Leader, Fabrication Leader
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have knowledge and experience in welding procedures.
- Ability to accurately and effectively use a tape measurer.
