HR Generalist - Job Description

The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting and executing a wide range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and management, ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently while fostering a positive and productive workplace environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment efforts, including posting jobs, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating hiring decisions
• Administer onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth employee experience and proper documentation
• Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and workplace concerns
• Manage employee records and maintain HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
• Assist with benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
• Handle employee relations matters by addressing concerns, conducting investigations, and supporting conflict resolution
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
• Support performance management processes, including reviews, coaching, and documentation
• Coordinate training and development programs to support employee growth and organizational goals
• Assist with payroll coordination, timekeeping, and compensation-related activities
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives, including policy updates, process improvements, and engagement programs

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in human resources or a related field
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred
• Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
