Pathologists' Assistant Location: Jackson, MI 49201 Assignment Length: 8 Weeks Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Hours: 40 Hours/WeekThe Pathologists' Assistant works under the supervision of a Pathologist, performing gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens, assisting with autopsies, tissue procurement, specimen accessioning, quality assurance activities, and laboratory operations.Requirements:Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant Program or PA (ASCP) Certification.Current BLS Certification.Responsibilities:Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens.Select and submit tissue samples for microscopic examination.Assist with autopsies and specimen documentation.Ensure accurate specimen identification and accessioning.Support quality assurance and laboratory operations.Assist with resident training and inventory management.
