Sr. Underwriter I - Sports and Recreation (Nationwide)

Position Overview We are looking for a Sr. Underwriter I to join our Sports and Recreation underwriting team! Responsibilities Determines acceptability, conditions, and pricing of specific property & casualty (P&C) insurance risks and agrees on coverage within regulatory requirements, corporate product offerings, and designated authority level. Underwrites large, complex property & casualty (P&C) insurance risks. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of loss experience and business conditions of key accounts as well as loss trends and any relevant legal or economic factors regarding the property & casualty business. Participates on a team of underwriters and other staff to meet the property & casualty insurance and service needs of large multi-product customers. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all products, services, priorities and target markets in the property & casualty line of business or insurance segment. May accompany marketing representative or represent the company on appointments in assigned territory and industry events. May develop and maintain relationships with agency representatives. May negotiate new and renewal business in partnership with Marketing to drive profitable growth. May support profit improvement initiatives in partnership with Marketing Department. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. 4+ years of commercial underwriting experience as defined by division. CPCU and/or AU designations preferred. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Ability to be detail oriented in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel in assigned geographic territory on agency calls. Knowledge of forms and coverages. Pay Transparency Salary Range Nationwide: Sr UW I $84,422 - $94,354 (Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location.)
