Description Of Duties

Join our dynamic Lawrenceville SURGE Sexual Health Clinic team and help make a difference in the health and well-being of our community! Under general supervision and following established clinical procedures, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered sexual health services. Job duties for this position include:

• Provide compassionate, culturally responsive care to a diverse patient population
• Collaborate with Medical Assistants, Laboratory Technicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Physicians, and Prevention Program staff
• Obtain and document health histories for STI and PrEP patients
• Collect clinical specimens, including performing phlebotomy
• Process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently
• Room patients and prepare exam rooms between visits
• Deliver STI, HIV, and prevention education to patients
• Assist with patient intake, registration, checkout, and appointment scheduling
• Support disease prevention and control efforts through coordination with STI and HIV Prevention programs
• Maintain a welcoming environment focused on excellent customer service and patient experience
• Participate in community outreach events and health initiatives as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations and program goals

Qualifications

Minimum: Associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university; or High School diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience in medical assisting. Preferred: 2 or more years performing blood draws/phlebotomy duties in a healthcare setting Experience working in Public Health Experience working in both front & back office Medical Assistant capacities Experience in a community health role Fluency in both English & Spanish
