Insurance Sales Agent - Arlington Heights

Position Summary The Auto Club Group is seeking Insurance Sales Agents to drive new business, retain existing members, and grow ACG’s insurance book through a range of competitive product offerings. Agents use consultative sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer‑focused service to assess needs, recommend coverage, close sales, and build lasting relationships with members and prospects. Location & Schedule Arlington Heights, IL | Monday – Friday, 8:30AM – 5:30PM Key Responsibilities Identify customer‑specific needs to generate new sales, retain existing insureds, and grow overall insurance book of business. Effectively overcome objections to close sales and/or retain the insured. Work to meet or exceed targets as defined in the sales incentive plan and as assigned by the manager. Conduct insurance reviews for clients to identify a range of suitable products. Use provided tools and underwriting guidelines to assess risk, recommend appropriate products, quote, bind, and issue policies. Engage in market‑based interactions at business establishments and other convenient locations to solicit new business, expand networks, and build rapport critical to customer satisfaction, loyalty, and affinity to the AAA brand. Respond to customer inquiries and requests relating to insurance, membership, and financial products. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. Current Property & Casualty insurance license. Current Life Insurance sales license. Must qualify, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling and/or servicing Auto Club Group Membership products, including Health and Accident licenses where applicable. 1+ year(s) of sales or customer service experience. Strong sales skills with a history of developing, tracking, following up on, and closing leads. Advanced consultative selling techniques utilizing thorough product knowledge. Strong phone sales and prospecting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer focus. Ambition, motivation, and drive. Knowledge of desktop systems, including Microsoft Office. Excellent listening skills and ability to understand customer needs. Work Environment This is an in‑office position. Employees will service ACG members in person and are based on‑site in an ACG branch facility. Compensation & Benefits Overview ACG complies with all applicable state and local laws regarding required benefits (including PTO, paid sick leave, etc.). Average annual earnings are $57,000 – $80,000+. A guaranteed hourly rate of $21.63 (annualized rate of $45,000) plus commissions and bonus opportunities. The position is also eligible for overtime. Part‑time employees eligible for 8 company‑paid holidays annually, plus 1 mental health day and 2 floating holidays.
