Senior Communications Program Specialist, Global Pediatric Medicine

The Sr Communications Programs Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to enhance organizational visibility promote brand awareness and facilitate internal and external engagement. This position involves planning executing and managing various communication programs to convey key messages build relationships and support overall organizational objectives at St. Jude.

Overview

The Department of Global Pediatric Medicine (GPM) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the St. Jude Global (SJG) mission by training the clinical workforce developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.

Responsibilities

The Sr Communication Program Specialist will be responsible for:

• Develop and execute communication needs and plans for stakeholder teams and leadership.
• Develop comprehensive communication strategies for major departmental and organizational initiatives.
• Leverage a creative and compelling array of communications including presentations email newsletters announcements information sheets application brochures articles and videos.
• Recommend methods of communication to ensure all relevant information is appropriately conveyed to identified populations.
• Serve as a communication expert for the key stakeholder departments and other areas of the institution offering guidance on style branding visual layout wording and methods of communication.
• Work with external vendors to support projects and monitor progress to ensure the institutions needs are supported.
• Evaluate new media to produce innovative effective internal campaigns.
• Keep track of the project activities and ensure alignment with the quality guidelines project timelines and objectives.
• Provide guidance assistance and mentoring support to less experienced colleagues on routine processes and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.

Minimum Education

• Bachelors degree in communications journalism English or related field required.
• Masters degree OR PhD preferred.

Minimum Experience:

• Minimum Requirement: 4 years of experience in communications journalism English or related field.
• Demonstrated experience in business communications journalism PR and communications in life sciences or healthcare environment.
• Proficiency in software programs such as Captivate Photoshop Illustrator and other tools used to create communication materials.
• Some experience stakeholder management preferred.
• Proven performance in earlier role.

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets experience and training licensure and certifications and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $70720 - $126880 per year for the role of Senior Communications Program Specialist Global Pediatric Medicine.
