Job Summary
The Carpenter Supervisor will supervise carpentry work remodeling roofing and sheet metal work. Responsible for planning and supervising the work of carpenters and helpers and for maintaining the records of the department.
Plans assigns and supervises work of carpenters and helpers in the construction alteration repair and maintenance of buildings floors roofs walls stairways doors windows and other structures. Supervises inventory of materials and equipment. Estimates time and materials required for jobs. Orders materials and supplies. Prepares plans and sketches. Reads and interprets plans and specifications prepared by architects and engineers. Inspects projects upon completion for compliance with work requests. Drive a UTA vehicle. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years of supervisory experience. Seven (7) years of experience in performing a variety of Skilled/journeyman This position requires you to have and maintain a Texas Class C Operators Drivers License and three (3) years of an acceptable driving history. Preferred Qualifications
Basic computer skills and knowledge of computer-generated work order systems and timekeeping systems. Work Schedule
Monday Friday; 8:00 am 4:30 pm
