Trusts & Estate Planning Paralegal

Description Sheehan Phinney is a well-established, client-focused law firm with a respected Trusts & Estate Planning practice. We are a collaborative, detail-oriented team committed to delivering thoughtful solutions to our clients. This role offers a meaningful opportunity for professional growth. Based on experience, the incumbent will take on appropriate responsibility for drafting basic estate planning documents, probate filings, trust administration, funding, and related materials. Additional responsibilities include preparing and filing court documents, conducting asset inventories, and communicating with clients, beneficiaries, and financial institutions. The role also maintains records, conducts research, and prepares and organizes documents and correspondence, along with other tasks as assigned. Substantive work is billable, with a 1,400-hour annual target. Paralegal certification strongly preferred. Working knowledge of legal terminology, state probate rules, and federal estate tax regulations required. Strong computer skills are essential, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software (including e‑filing platforms).
