Physician Assistant

Seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team providing advanced surgical treatments such as coronary artery bypass, valve replacements, ECMO, and heart transplantation. Responsibilities include independent or shared patient evaluations, history taking, physical exams, responding to clinical changes, ordering tests and medications, and documenting in the electronic medical record. Perform bedside procedures, assist in surgeries, review diagnostic results, and develop individualized care plans. Manage complex cases, coordinate patient discharges, and communicate treatment plans effectively with patients and families. Respond to clinical documentation inquiries and participate in service rounds and treatment planning. Qualifications Graduation from an accredited PA program. At least 1 year inpatient cardiac surgery experience, including OR assist (EVH, radial artery harvest), ECMO, transplant, and complex surgeries. Preferred: Master's or doctoral degree, additional certification (CAQ), 2+ years of cardiac ICU experience, and skills in vessel harvest, ECMO, VAD management, and line placement. Licenses & Certifications California RN and NP licenses, furnishing privileges, national certification, DEA registration, BLS, and ACLS.
