Head Boys Basketball Coach

Manteo High School is seeking a dynamic, student-centered leader to serve as our Head Boys Basketball Coach. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about developing student-athletes both on and off the court and who is committed to building a competitive program grounded in character, accountability, teamwork, and academic success.

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee all aspects of the Boys Basketball program, including varsity and developmental levels.

Develop and implement a comprehensive program that emphasizes skill development, sportsmanship, leadership, and academic achievement.

Organize and conduct practices, games, off-season workouts, camps, and summer activities in accordance with district and state athletic guidelines.

Build positive relationships with student-athletes, families, staff, and the community.

Collaborate with school administration, athletic department staff, and faculty to support student success.

Maintain compliance with all school, district, conference, and state athletic association policies and procedures.

Promote a culture of excellence, accountability, and pride within the basketball program.

Qualifications:

Previous coaching experience in basketball preferred.

Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and families.

Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

Commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional growth of student-athletes.

Must meet all district and state requirements for coaching eligibility.
