Project Manager

The Cloud Infrastructure Construction Environmental Compliance team is responsible for environmental permit compliance related to construction of Data Centers (DCs). The Construction Environmental Compliance Lead will manage environmental permits during construction until turnover to operations, manage consultants supporting site inspections, cooperate with internal/external business partners to achieve compliance goals, develop and submit required AHJ reports/inspections, will work with the General Contractor and Owner to ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, ordinances, guidelines, standards, and permit requirements (Environmental Requirements) and serve as environmental representation to external stakeholders. This role requires regular engagement with key stakeholders, including Compliance, Permitting, Legal, Design, Construction, and Operations teams, regulatory agencies, and outside consultants and contractors. This role is region specific, requiring onsite inspections and field support. The region for this role is San Antonio.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with subject-matter experts to satisfy compliance obligations and Environmental Requirements based on the timing of the overall construction schedule.
• Coordination with Permit Managers to understand permit conditions and drive understanding for Construction teams to ensure compliance with all environmental approvals.
• Management of environmental and construction consultants that support the overall site delivery.
• Identification and mitigation of issues that occur during construction related to environmental factors.
• Support regulatory agency, stakeholder, and community engagement activities for new builds.
• Support development of environmental risk and compliance mitigations to enable data center construction and operations within development timelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in environmental regulations related to Clean Water Act sections 402, 401, and 404.
• Experience in managing environmental permits during construction projects.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience in coordinating with regulatory agencies and consultants.
• Region-specific onsite inspection and field support experience.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience in environmental compliance for data center construction projects.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local environmental regulations.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to identify and mitigate environmental issues during construction.

Location: San Antonio, TX

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $160,000 – 240,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
