Production Scheduler/Planner

Key Responsibilities:Create, release, and maintain manufacturing and complete work orders in the ERP system. Ensuring accurate BOMs, routings, and work instructions.Plan purchase requisitions per ERP system demands. Communicate any necessary changes to the purchasing team as they arise.Plan Engineering deliverables utilizing the Intuiflow Scheduling and Execution software.Communicate released orders to the appropriate shop floor personnel and departments.Monitor open work orders and manage rescheduling or reallocation based on changing priorities.Sequence production tasks across work centers to promote flow based on priority, due dates, and available capacity.Confirm material availability prior to releasing orders. Escalate shortages to Procurement, Master Scheduler, and/or the Project Manager as necessary.Respond to production changes due to downtime, engineering changes, or expedited orders. Adjust and communicate schedule changes promptly to minimize disruptions. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing to resolve issues impacting order execution and to support flow.Report deviations from the schedule and support root cause analysis of delays or issues.Maintain schedule-related data in the ERP/MRP system, including lead times, order statuses, and shop calendars.Participate in or facilitate production meetings to provide updates and receive direction from the Master Scheduler.Bachelor’s degree preferred.Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, production control, planning, purchasing or manufacturing preferred.Understanding of blueprints, machining, fabrication, and raw materials (or willingness to learn).Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams, Word); Oracle ERP knowledge a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong organizational and time management abilities; able to manage multiple priorities.Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.Professional, confident, and diplomatic interpersonal skills.Proven problem-solving ability, with the capacity to anticipate and adapt to change.Team-oriented with a positive, ethical, and motivating approach.COMPETITIVE BENEFITS: (visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.Competitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
