Overview:
Site Reliability Engineer
Experience:
- 3–5 years in Service Reliability/Operations managing large-scale, high-performance hybrid applications (on-prem + cloud).
- 2–4 years in programming (Go, Python, Java, Rust).
- 2+ years with cloud transitions & containerization (GCP, AWS, Rancher, OpenShift, CloudFormation).
Core Technical Skills:
- Databases: Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, Clickhouse, Time-series DBs.
- Container platforms: GKE / RKE / AKE, Kubernetes.
- Cloud observability: OTEL (tracing, monitoring, incident resolution).
- GraphQL frameworks: Apollo, Prisma, Hasura.
- Networking protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, Service Mesh.
Monitoring & Tools:
- Monitoring: Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana/Prometheus, Dynatrace.
- CI/CD & collaboration: Rally, Confluence, Jenkins or equivalent.
- Secrets & security: HashiCorp Vault.
- Caching: Redis (preferred).
Preferred / Advanced Skills:
- Cloud services: GCS, Cloud SQL, Spanner, BigQuery.
- Experience with Vertex AI / Gen AI integration.
- Strong debugging skills across integrated platforms (APIs, gateways).
- Proven ability to ensure 24x7 high availability & automate repetitive tasks.
