The assignment will last for 12 weeks. You will work the night shift, which consists of 12-hour shifts. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. Candidates must possess the necessary nursing license. Certifications in ACLS and BLS are mandatory. Will float within the service line as needed to meet facility requirements. Nurses will provide care for patients who are waiting to be admitted to the hospital inpatient unit. You will start care in the Emergency Department until a bed is available. Responsibilities include interpreting dysrhythmias and managing IV insulin protocols. You will also provide feeding tube care and management. Pre/post hemodialysis management is part of the role. You will be responsible for accessing ports and administering blood products. Central line care and management will be required. Phlebotomy and peripheral line care will also be part of the job. PICC line management and starting IVs are essential tasks. You will follow heparin protocols and manage cardiac drips without titration. Other responsibilities include PCA management and administering thrombolytic agents. You will be required to assist with substance withdrawal and ortho trauma cases. Knowledge of traction and oxygen administration will be necessary. You must follow isolation precautions at all times.
