Job Summary and Qualifications

As a leader, you will facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care aimed at ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. You will employ the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and education for patients and their families. You will also implement medically prescribed interventions.

Qualifications Required:

• Preferred Experience: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
• Required Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program, with the expectation to obtain a BSN within five years of starting the RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and entities. Exemptions or extensions may be approved by the facility's Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and reported to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions if needed. RNs with ten or more years of experience are exempt.
• Required License/Certifications: Must possess and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the relevant state nursing board. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensees should verify with the nursing board.
• Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
