Travel Respiratory Therapist - Certified RT/CRT

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT) for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of experience and LA state licensure.

12-week travel assignment in the Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics unit

Night shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 06:30

Weekend coverage required every other weekend

Epic charting system experience required

Cares for adult critical care, emergency department, and NICU patient populations

Performs ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, high frequency jet ventilation, and oscillator support

Administers medications via aerosol, MDI, and nebulizer delivery systems

Conducts arterial blood gas draws and interpretation

Supports airway management including intubation assist, extubation, and tracheostomy care

Minimum 2 years of experience required, higher preferred

CRT or RRT certification required

BLS required

LA state license required (license required if applicable)

ACLS, PALS, and NRP preferred

Teaching hospital experience preferred

Epic charting experience required

First-time travelers will be considered for this position

Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays

RTO limited to no more than 5 consecutive days

Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at local rate

Former LCMC Health permanent staff must have separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments
