Mechanical Engineer

We’re partnering with an innovative aerospace company developing cutting-edge hardware and software for space-based sensing, advanced imaging, and scientific missions. This is an opportunity to join a highly experienced engineering team working on next‑generation satellite and telescope technologies. You’ll play a key role in designing precision mechanical systems that operate in some of the most demanding environments imaginable. What you’ll be doing: Design and develop precision mechanical structures and assemblies using Siemens NX Create detailed 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings Design interfaces between optical, electrical, and thermal subsystems Perform structural and thermal analysis (FEA and hand calculations) Support manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing Collaborate with suppliers on fabrication, tolerances, and quality requirements Contribute to the development of next‑generation spaceflight hardware What we’re looking for: 3+ years’ experience in mechanical engineering with hands‑on product development Excellent understanding of GD&T and engineering drawing standards Experience designing precision or high‑tolerance mechanical systems Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, collaborative engineering environment FEA (NX Nastran, ANSYS or equivalent) Opto‑mechanical or optical system design Manufacturing, integration, or assembly experience Space or aerospace hardware development Strong communication and problem‑solving skills This role offers the chance to work on challenging, high‑impact space technology alongside an exceptional multidisciplinary team, with opportunities for professional growth as the organisation continues to expand. #J-18808-Ljbffr EVONA
