Overview Senior Mechanical Engineer – Scale-Up – Exceptional Product-Market Fit – Elite Team A rapidly growing tech scale-up in San Luis Obispo is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join as a strategic hire, leading the design, development, and optimization of next-generation products. With a world-class engineering team already shipping products at scale, you will play a critical role in shaping mechanical systems, driving engineering excellence, and mentoring junior team members. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems for next-generation products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering excellence. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development, ideally in mission- or safety-critical industries (MedTech, Automotive, Aerospace) Proficiency in CAD systems , including 3D modeling and drawing generation (SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent) Experience in FEA, DFM, and stress analysis to ensure robust and manufacturable designs Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, make critical design decisions, and optimize systems for performance, reliability, and scalability Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on manufacturability, materials selection, and high-performance product design Compensation and Benefits Private medical insurance 401(k) Equity options and leadership growth opportunities Location: San Luis Obispo, CA #J-18808-Ljbffr Oho Group Ltd
