We make sure they have a reliable supply of the essential ingredients they need to succeed, and every member of our team plays an important role.Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Quality Systems & Compliance, the Quality Systems Specialist III supports Teknova's supplier quality program, with a focus on the qualification of critical suppliers and the monitoring of supplier documentation for currency and renewal. This role works closely with purchasing and operations to resolve supplier quality issues and provides guidance on supplier management process enhancements and continuous improvement.This role owns Supplier Corrective Action Reports (SCARs) for Quality and focuses on driving other open quality events, such as complaints, change management, and audit findings, toward closure by following up with item owners, collecting status updates and supporting data, and serving as a liaison in related quality meetings. It maintains quality trackers (e.g., customer audits, SCARs, change management) and supports broader QMS activities, including Management Review metrics, complaints, risk management, and internal audit program administration, along with backup coverage for Quality Systems Specialist II duties as needed.At Teknova, our culture is all about creative problem solving, and our default answer is "Yes." The people on our team are at the heart of everything we do, and we're here to support them.The Production Technician II is responsible for performing tasks related to day-to-day production operations and completing routine to moderately complex procedures under direction.Job Duties And Responsibilities:Performs final batch record review before the product moves forward in production.Performs production related duties that require specialized training.Prepares the necessary products for next day production.Maintains equipment in proper working order, which may include calibrating.Assists Documentation Department with troubleshooting any formulation deviations.Conducts routine to moderately complex procedures, such as preparation of media, dispensing, labeling, or washing vessels.Collaborates with manager, team lead and team members daily to meet product deadlines.Follows all Standard Operating Procedures for assigned tasks and area.Responsible for maintaining appropriate training schedule as it pertains to their primary occupational duties.Maintains accurate inventory of materials (raw materials, containers, hosing, and any other materials necessary for the completion of assigned tasks) and assists with proper ordering to ensure sufficient amounts are retained.Accurately records all completion data into the appropriate database, and / or appropriately completes all necessary paperwork.Learns new procedures and accepts new assignments within reasonable timeframes, to be agreed upon by the employee and supervisor.Recognizes and resolves problems; troubleshoots malfunctions in procedures and uses alternative methods if available.Coordinates efforts of effective work activities that contribute to company needs.Requirements:Education:High school level chemistry and / or applicable lab experience preferredKnowledge / Skills / Experience:A minimum of 1 - 2 years of related experience.Background in Chemistry or related science preferred.Has good understanding of the job and applies knowledge and skills to complete a range of tasks.Ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.Good interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.Ability to perform mathematical calculations on basic dilutions and conversions.Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.Ability to stand on feet for a total of 8-10 hours daily.Must be able to carry, lift, push and pull up to 40 pounds.Benefits: From performance bonuses that give every member of our team a chance to share in our success to health insurance and retirement savings programs to our generous PTO policy, we're invested in our associates.
