Warehouse Supervisor

Job Details Shift Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00 AM - complete. Please note, flexibility in schedule will be required based on business needs, this can include working different hours or days. Location: This position is located onsite at our facility in Salt Lake City, UT. There is no option for remote or hybrid work. This role is supporting our AmerisourceBergen business, which offers supply chain services to healthcare providers and health systems in the United States. Responsibilities Lead the hiring, termination, direction, and performance management of warehouse associates. Oversee functional areas of the warehouse such as receiving, shipping, returns, picking, packing, checking, stocking, order filling, and management of the cage/vault. Ensure all safety guidelines, policies, procedures, safety rules and DEA regulations are followed and implemented. Direct workflow, motivate, train, monitor warehouse associates, and make suggestions for modifications to improve productivity, efficiency, and accuracy. Support compliance with all appropriate policies, procedures and regulations. Coach employees to support their development in the role. Supervise receipt of merchandise, ensuring only products intended for the Distribution Center are accepted, and maintain accurate daily logs. Oversee staff in counting, weighing and identifying shipped items, and check materials against invoices, bills of lading, customer orders, and similar documents. Oversee staff in filling orders, double‑checking, and shipping controlled substances with the assistance of cage/vault clerks or order fillers. Maintain detailed records of delivery processes, including time, date, quantity, source and destination of materials shipped. Oversee the manifests of routes and departures to ensure timely delivery to customers. Interact with customers to resolve delivery or order‑filling issues. Ensure maintenance of records documenting order‑filling process such as quantity, size, strength, and NDC numbers. Ensure quality of packing and protect breakable items to guarantee customer satisfaction. Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing controlled substances into the cage/vault area. Track attendance, monitor performance and manage overtime for associates in their area. Perform related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences or similar, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience. Skills & Knowledge: Ability to communicate effectively as a leader both orally and in writing. Good decision‑making, analytical, and mathematical skills. Strong organizational and attention to detail. Knowledge of warehouse operations and basic computer proficiency (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Leadership and coaching skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with distribution center associates and foster teamwork. Physical & Other Requirements: Must be willing to work extended hours, part‑time or weekend on‑call rotation, and participate in physical inventory as scheduled. May require proficiency to operate a reach truck. Must be willing to work extended hours to meet productivity goals and provide emergency service to customers.
