CGP: Property Accountant/AR

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $95,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Process daily cash receipts and apply payments accurately to tenant accounts.
• Review and interpret complex retail lease documents to calculate billing adjustments.
• Maintain and update tenant profiles and lease data in the Yardi accounting system.
• Generate and transmit monthly billing, utility statements, and related correspondence.
• Prepare monthly accounts receivable reports and explain delinquent payments.

Requirements:

• Assist with rent collections, resolve payment discrepancies, and calculate late charges.
• Review utility usage reports and coordinate monthly utility billing.
• Handle tenant inquiries and prepare reconciliations of charges and payments.
• Input tenant sales data and generate monthly sales and analysis reports.
• Support lease administration tasks and process vendor payments and reimbursements.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Real Estate, or Finance, or have 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of Yardi or similar property management accounting software.
• Show familiarity with commercial or retail lease documents and terminology.
• Possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows.
• Exhibit excellent analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
