Assistant Professor MIT Sloan School of Management: Operations Management

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School ofManagement at 77 Massachusetts Ave, Cambridge, MA 02142 invitesapplications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area ofOperations Management (OM) beginning July 1, 2027, or as soonthereafter as possible. Strong applicants will demonstrate thepotential for research and teaching excellence in OperationsManagement. Duties will include teaching undergraduate and graduatelevel courses in this field, and conducting original scholarlyresearch in Operations Management or related fields. We areespecially interested in candidates who can strengthen and expandthe capabilities of the OM group in terms of its researchinterests, methods and applications .in areas of high impact, aswell as successfully teach undergraduate, MBA, Masters of BusinessAnalytics, Ph.D. and other affiliated programs. The pay range for a 9-month academic appointment at the entry-level Assistant Professor rank (excluding summer salary): $225,000 -$254,000. The pay offered to a selected candidate during hiringwill be based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope andresponsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experienceand education/training, internal peer equity, and applicable legalrequirements. These factors impact where an individual's pay fallswithin a range. Employment is contingent upon the completion of asatisfactory background check, including verifying any finding of misconduct (or pending investigation) from prior employers. Qualifications Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Operations Management or arelevant field by the start of employment.
