Registered Nurse - PreOp

Job Summary:
Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive preoperative and postoperative care in a surgical setting. The role involves supporting patients in various specialty areas, including Endoscopy, Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, and Radiology, across flexible day shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patient conditions and prepare them for surgical procedures through assessments and documentation.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to coordinate patient care before and after procedures.
• Monitor patient responses and vital signs during their perioperative experience.
• Educate patients and families regarding procedures, post-care instructions, and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate, detailed documentation to meet compliance standards and facilitate continuous care.

Qualifications:

• Valid California RN license with upload verification through Nursys within the last 2 weeks.
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications with valid expiration dates.
• At least 2 years of RN experience in a surgical or perioperative setting.
• Strong clinical assessment skills and knowledge of perioperative procedures.
• Ability to work variable hours and adapt to flexible shift schedules.
• Proficiency with compliance requirements, including onboarding labs and work history verification.
