PURPOSE OF POSITION:

The Receiving Coordinator ensures efficient receiving and delivery processes. Responsibilities include verifying items received, ensuring trucks are unloaded and items are stored correctly, and ensuring location and system transactions are complete and accurate. The Receiving Coordinator is an entry-level administrative role responsible for critical data entry and coordinating other functions at the facility, including verifying and maintaining records on incoming shipments and maintaining receiving logs for all deliveries that come in daily. This position maintains good receipts with discrepancy information and drives prompt resolution of all discrepancies. Works with purchasing & transportation on missed deliveries and delivery discrepancies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Overseeing the unloading, receiving and signing for deliveries.
• Ensure receiving, organizing and storing received items in appropriate areas.
• Inspecting deliveries to ensure they match order and invoice criteria.
• Ensure signing bills of lading in accordance with company standards.
• Enter receiving data into company systems SAP, QWMS (Warehouse Management System).
• Utilize department filing system to record and maintain all received freight logs, signed bill of ladings and cargo manifests.
• Comparing purchase orders with invoices and packaging lists.
• Updating inventory with received items.
• Maintaining records of orders, delivery details, etc.
• Communicating with vendors regarding delays or problems.
• Assist in maintaining and updating carrier schedules and receiving dates.
• Respond to receiving inquires internally and externally by email, phone on a daily basis.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma/GED, some college preferred
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Computer skills and knowledge of data entry and inventory software programs (SAP preferred)
• Strong Basic math skills and prior experience with Excel

• Forklift experience in loading and unloading trucks containers (preferred).

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Good understanding of warehouse safety regulations
• Physical dexterity and experience operating forklifts.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Basic clerical duties as needed
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Write routine reports and correspondence.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Decision making skills, creativity, independent judgment, discretion, and problem analysis.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
