Paralegal

C&M Legal is partnering with a public sector client in the DC Metro area to support their search for experienced, a Paralegal! This role will support one of their projects on a contract basis, with a potential conversion to a permanent member of their team. Responsibilities: Review and analyze case materials. Organize, maintain, and index case files; assist with document collection, privilege review, database searches, and other litigation support activities. Prepare, proofread, and revise legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, and case summaries. Maintain case tracking spreadsheets and reports using Microsoft Excel to monitor deadlines, discovery, and case-related information. Compile, organize, and summarize documents and evidence for use in discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trial. Prepare deposition and transcript summaries, maintain case files, conduct legal research, and assist with all phases of document discovery, including tracking and organizing documents produced and received. Assist attorneys with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, reviewing and preparing documents, applying Bates numbering, conducting legal research, and retrieving records using Concordance and Summation. Provide trial and deposition support by maintaining exhibit lists, managing trial notebooks, tracking exhibits, and ensuring attorneys have timely access to case materials. Utilize litigation support and eDiscovery applications, including Relativity, CaseMap, Sanction, and OnCue, to assist with document review, electronic evidence management, and discovery production.
