MIG Welder - Aerospace / Space Industry Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to support the fabrication and assembly of high-precision components used in aerospace and space applications. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to strict quality standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to support the fabrication and assembly of high-precision components used in aerospace and space applications. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to strict quality standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform MIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and other aerospace-grade materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols
- Fabricate and assemble components to tight tolerances
- Inspect welds to ensure they meet aerospace quality and safety standards
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper setup for each job
- Follow all safety procedures, including OSHA and company-specific protocols
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project deadlines
- 2+ years of MIG welding experience (aerospace or manufacturing preferred)
- Ability to read blueprints and technical specifications
- Experience working with thin materials and precision welding
- Strong understanding of welding safety and quality control standards
- Certifications (AWS or similar) preferred
- Ability to pass weld tests and background/drug screening if required
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing
- Familiarity with TIG welding is a plus
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing or 5S practices
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Manufacturing or production floor environment
- May require standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
- Use of PPE required at all times
- Full-time; Monday-Friday (overtime as needed)
