Athletic Trainer, Onsite

Concentra is hiring an experienced and self‑driven Athletic Trainer for a full‑time onsite position in Denver, CO. This role provides healthcare support at onsite clinics located at our client’s site. Salary: $70,000.00 annually. Site Schedule: Monday‑Thursday 7:45 AM–3:45 PM, Friday 6:00 AM–2:00 PM. Quarterly float to Greeley and Colorado Springs. Position Summary Promote and maintain health and wellbeing for a client‑based occupational medicine program focusing on delivering exceptional patient care, reducing work‑related injuries, and coordinating workers’ compensation cases. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide basic first aid treatment for musculoskeletal and non‑musculoskeletal injuries and illnesses per physician standing orders. Identify, evaluate, and refer injured associates to the appropriate clinicians. Respond to onsite medical emergencies per standing orders. Assist in managing workers’ compensation cases through claim capture and follow‑up. Collaborate with client’s Human Resources and management on return‑to‑work job placement. Track and communicate MSD‑related statistics to client stakeholders. Manage pre‑employment functional testing and vision acuity testing. Coordinate injury prevention programs, ergonomic training, and evaluation. Conduct comprehensive ergonomic job analyses and support administrative and ergonomic changes. Create job rotation plans for production areas and monitor compliance. Provide objective information about job physical requirements for job descriptions, referral sources, legal and case management, and functional testing. Create pre‑shift preventative activity programs and monitor compliance. Implement treatment plans during rehabilitation, including therapeutic exercise, modalities, and work conditioning. Use innovation and employee empowerment to design and/or implement interventions. Administer drug and alcohol testing. Promote personal health and wellbeing in the workplace. Perform data analysis to measure direct and indirect costs of musculoskeletal disorders. Provide monthly and annual reports on rehab utilization, cost‑savings, and cost avoidance. Complete administrative requirements such as forms, reports, invoices, budgets, and outcome tools. Create a trusting environment that encourages workers to mitigate injury risks. Communicate regularly with safety personnel regarding rehab and injury prevention activities. Attend meetings and serve on committees as requested. Author articles for newsletters and the company intranet. Education / Credentials Degree from an accredited college or university. Bachelor’s Degree required. Current First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer or Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or equivalent. Certifications and Licenses Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable. Continuing education is not required to maintain license. Job‑Related Experience Minimum one year of experience. Demonstrated clinical knowledge of athletic trainer services in an onsite setting. Knowledge of kinesiology or ergonomic assessments.
