A primary responsibility of this role is to teach U employee health and wellness classes through PEAK Health and Fitness. Additionally, the Associate Instructor will have opportunities to contribute to other wellness initiatives. Responsibilities Essential Functions: Teach group fitness classes. Conduct health and fitness assessments. Provide personal training services. Offer individual wellness consultations. Support wellness events, including movement breaks and health fairs. This role requires strong relationship-building and communication skills, along with a demonstrated understanding of health and wellness principles. Applicants must show the ability to perform essential job functions as outlined. CPR certification is required. Minimum Qualifications Requires a bachelor’s degree in a health-related field. Demonstrated relationship‑building and effective communication skills also required. Demonstrated strong understanding of health and wellness. Applicants must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the position description. Preferences Specific health and fitness certification required, i.e. ACSM , NSCA , YTT Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field or equivalency. One to three years’ experience in fitness class instruction. Experience working with a wide variety of individuals, including those with chronic disease or orthopedic complications.
