This position will provide critical care in an energetic environment, attending to patients who require immediate medical assistance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.Shift DetailsShift: 7A - 7:30P / 7P - 7:30AAssignment Length: 13 weeksWeekend Requirements: Every other weekendCall Requirements: YesGuaranteed Hours: 36 hours per weekUnit HighlightsThis role centers around the Emergency Room unit, where you will be expected to float as needed based on patient care demands.Required QualificationsActive Texas RN License (Temporary license will not be accepted)Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room experienceCurrent certifications: PALS or ENPC, ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and NIHSSPreferred QualificationsCEN certificationExperience with Meditech documentation systemStrong teamwork and communication skillsKey ResponsibilitiesAdminister medications and respond to emergencies in the ER.Conduct thorough assessments of patient conditions.Participate in life-saving procedures including conscious sedation and intubations.Provide care for patients with behavioral health needs and manage sepsis and stroke alerts.Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.Dress CodeRN Scrub Color: Navy (with acceptable undershirts and jackets in white, navy, or black)Nail Policy: No acrylic or chipped nail polish, nails should be clean and no longer than ¼ inchHair: Off the shoulders and in natural colorTattoos: Should be covered whenever possiblePiercings: Visible piercings other than earrings are prohibitedUnit PoliciesFloating Policy: As neededAttendance PoliciesJoin our committed team of healthcare professionals in delivering exemplary emergency care to our community.
