Electrician II (2nd Shift, M-F, 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm) Hourly Wage Rate $42.78 + shift premium. This position is based in Wayne, MI. The hourly wage rate for Journeyman-level candidates is $42.78. Reporting to the Purchasing and Maintenance Manager, the electrician will install, maintain, and repair all types of electrical equipment to support production operations. What you’ll do Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated equipment Inspect, test, and troubleshoot components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches, and switch gears Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturers’ installation manuals to complete assigned projects Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs All work must be compliant with current National Electric Code Maintain production standards to meet internal and external customer demand Accurately complete all paperwork, transactions, tags, etc. Adhere to all Life Saving Rules, including Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocols Ensure Safety, Delivery, Quality, and Cost metrics are met daily Support 5S initiatives in assigned work areas Perform all other duties as assigned What you’ll bring High School Diploma/GED Must hold Journeyman classification One year of manufacturing experience preferred Basic math and verbal skills Ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery Ability to follow standard work processes and operate with a continuous improvement mindset Ability to lead, assist, and/or instruct employees in the performance of their duties, as requested Flexibility of shift scheduling, including overtime and weekends Demonstrate Atkore Core Values - Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence Positive attitude, team player, strong work ethic Within 3 months, you’ll Complete your Atkore Frontline Immersion Program Understand how your role supports Atkore’s business strategy Gain an understanding of the daily operational flow Hey, Atkore is a six-time Great Place to Work (c) certified company and a four-time Top Workplaces USA award!
