Plumbing Estimator – Construction (Mid to Senior Level)
We are hiring a Plumbing Estimator to support preconstruction efforts on a range of commercial, multifamily, and institutional building projects. This role focuses on developing accurate cost estimates, defining project scope, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure competitive and well-structured bids. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday position with standard daytime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Review drawings, specifications, and project scope to develop accurate estimates
- Perform detailed takeoffs using estimating software
- Prepare cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment
- Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors for pricing and scope clarification
- Identify value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
- Maintain and update unit cost databases and vendor pricing
- Assist with bid preparation and submission
Qualifications
- 3+ years of plumbing estimating or relevant field experience
- Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems and applicable codes
- Experience with estimating tools such as Quotesoft, Accubid, or similar
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and identify scope gaps
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
Compensation is commensurate with experience, typically in the $60K–$90K range.
